First of all, I think this is a record number of posts in one week for me. I'm pretty proud of myself.
Second of all, ever since I've been pregnant I have had the most bizarre dreams, and I pretty much dream every night (and remember my dreams). I had one where my baby crawled through my stomach and then went back in, and of course there was the one where my sister came to visit right after he was born and insisted on nursing him herself through the night, and I was really upset. So anyway, I had another crazy one the other night so I thought I would share it.
So I dreamt that I had the baby and it turned out to be a girl, weird, because the ultrasound was pretty clear. But not only was she a girl, she was about the size of an 18 month old and she was black, as in African-American. No, I don't have a secret African-American lover. She had a ton of dark curly hair and she could walk around from day one. So, in my dream I was on the couch with Jeremy and she walked over to me and I was trying to get her to nurse, but it just wasn't working very well. And I remember looking down and this "baby" (more like a toddler) and feeling so guilty in my dream because it wasn't anything like I imagined. I expected this tiny little caucasian baby (not that I have anything against African-Americans, but come on, this baby came from Jeremy and I) and here I had this baby the size of a 2 year old who looked nothing like either of us.
So in the dream apparently we found out that Jeremy has some African heritage way down the line somewhere and it just happened to come forth in our baby. I even asked him in the dream, "Do you think they could have switched babies in the hospital or something? Do you really think this is our baby?" And he was so shocked that I could think something like that because to him, this was clearly our child. Ha! Anyway, so I thought that was pretty funny. I remember just trying so hard to be loving and motherly to this grown baby, and feeling so confused about everything. But then I woke up and had a pretty good laugh about the whole thing.
So that's my crazy dream! It's always an adventure to see what my dreams will be!

Hilarious! Although I haven't found that line in our genealogy but I wouldn't be surprised! There are definitely some American Indian ones so don't be surprised if he looks like an indian at first! Jared looked like a little indian for the first couple of days!
Unfortunately I have discovered with my sleep apnea it is when you are not getting into your deep sleep when you can remember your dreams. You probably haven't slept soundly in a long time - sorry but that is how it is for the next ten years of your life if you keep having kids...
How funny! It's true though, pregnancy brings on the weirdest dreams! Yours is pretty good though, even for a pregnancy dream. :)
That is a crazy dream. I'm pretty sure that none of it will be true though. :) You'll love him (or her :)) no matter what.
LOL! And I was thinking the same thing today about my dreams, they are so crazy and vivd right now too.
Yup you get weird dreams when you're pregnant. Funny you dreamt about having a toddler, cause David dreamt that we had our baby and he came out the size of a toddler, and we couldn't keep him quiet at church. (I don't know if weird dreams cross over to the other spouse during pregnancy but it was funny).
Now are you thinking you might have a girl? :) Maybe it was a future sibling.
That is one vivid dream! You're going to make an awesome mommy!
Ummm, which sister was it?
Haha. It was you Amy! I thought I told you about that one. Maybe not. Don't worry, it was just a dream. :)
I was laughing out loud during this entire blog! I loved it, thank you for sharing. It was so funny to me because I remember having weird dreams while pregnant too! "Umm, which sister was it?" Too funny!
Yeah, I was wondering which sister that was, too! :)
