Trip out west & Pre-wedding fun

So WAY back on December 13th, I flew to CA with the kiddos.  I was quite nervous about it, but they did really well!  They hardly slept, but were very pleasant and agreeable.  Southwest is very family friendly which I like and they let Jeremy have a pass to walk with me all the way to my gate, which helped so much.  I was the most worried about getting through security by myself with all the stuff and kids, so that was really nice.  Then, since I flew out so early the flights were not full, they let me take Connor's carseat on which also really helped so I didn't have to hold him every second.  So nice!

Here I am loaded up in the airport.  Jeremy figured out how to hang the carseat over the handlebars of the stroller and my diaper back clips on to it also, so I was in pretty good shape.
It was heavy though. :)
Eli was very excited about being on an airplane and getting served snacks and juice. :)  Every little boy's dream right?  Haha.
And this was the first part of the trip - Connor was very happy.
So I got there a week before the big wedding!  It was nice to have a couple days for the kids to adjust before the masses of people started arriving. :)  Heidi and her roommate came a few days later and it was so fun to be there with her!  She tried on her beautiful dress, we shopped for jewelry, and talked pre-wedding talk (wink wink).  On Saturday she had a shower, which I only managed to get one picture of, but here it is.
What a happy bride. :)  That afternoon my sister Wendy and her family arrived, and we had extended family and Heidi's inlaws over for dinner every night until the wedding.  It was busy!  Monday Amy arrived and late that night Jeremy flew in too.  It was great!  Heidi was a wonderful bride - no bridezilla there. :)  She was calm and just excited to be getting married!  It was fun to see her so happy.

Next up...the big day!

Congratulations to Heidi!!
And you're quite a trooper to fly with two small children. We are going to Finland this summer and thank goodness George is able to come with us this time. I don't think I could handle two children in a plane for 16 hours (plus layovers), by my self.

for flying, I needed to say... sometimes my English really crumbles.

Yay! I'm not a bridezilla! However, if there's a term for the bride being too apathetic about everything except the temple sealing... thats probably me. ;)
I'm SO glad you were there early! You're the best. :) Love you!

It was so special to have you come early. It was very fun to have you along for all the pre-wedding festivities and all the help with the masses of people arriving. You are always so calm and helpful. Heidi was a very happy bride! Looking forward to all the other posts:)

What great posts! I love all of your pictures! I can't believe Southwest let you take on the carseat, and let Jeremy walk up to the gate with you-how nice! They really are the best airline. You gave great detail about the wedding and post-wedding experience. Great pictures of all the family at the temple! I do not think your dress looks too shiny so don't worry. Can I get the prize for longest comment ever? :)
