Happy Birthday Connor!

I have lots to catch up on, but I started this post last week and thought I better finish it before I blog about more recent activities.
So...Connor turned 3! We had a fun time celebrating this little boy. He'd been looking forward to his birthday for a long time and was very excited when he woke up that morning. "Mommy, I'm three!" We blew up some balloons for the occasion and of course those were a hit. Is it just my kids that think balloons are the greatest things EVER or is that standard?

We got Connor a new balance bike for his birthday. We'd been wanting to get him one for about a year and finally decided to do it. This kid loves speed and he's already getting the hang of it. He also got a t-ball set from my parents, which he loves and has already used a lot, and a couple other little things.  He's a happy kid!
The rest of the day's festivities included regular Saturday cleaning (exciting!), birthday candles and cake, and a trip to the park. It was a gorgeous spring day and we had a great time at our favorite neighborhood park riding bikes, playing at both playgrounds, and enjoying the sunshine! (I was kicking myself for not bringing our good camera). It was a great day. We love you Connor!

It was also so nice to have Jeremy around. He had to work the Saturday before that and he worked nearly 60 hrs that week, so he hadn't been around much. Then last Sunday he flew to Cleveland for a conference until Friday. So Saturday was a gift! We missed him sorely last week, but we stayed entertained by my sister Amy and her family coming to visit! Woohoo! More on that later...

Beautiful pictures of such a wonderful famlly. Connor looks so grown up and cute in his birthday pictures! 60 hour work weeks bring back many memories of missing Dad in our years of family life. Jeremy you are a trouper:). Hopefully those will be rare weeks for you. We love all of you and thanks for posting. Cherish the time together because the kids grow up way too fast.
