Well the dreaded "Janu-Feb" (as Jeremy calls it) is over! We survived! (mostly) And today marks the last day with temps in the teens on the next ten-day forecast. That is cause for celebration. Not only that, but it's supposed to get up to the 40s this weekend and the 50s next week!!! We have not seen those temps in months, so we're a little excited around here.
All in all though, I feel like we fared pretty well this winter. Don't worry, I'm under no delusion that winter is over here, but it looks like we'll be getting a little reprieve with some above-freezing temperatures for a few days. We've come to the conclusion that having survived a summer in Alabama and a winter in Chicago (and lots in between), we can pretty much handle anything in the continental U.S. We've built all sorts of character over here.
So anyway...March is going to be a crazy and exciting month for us!!! We found a house to buy in Cincinnati and we are SO excited! We close in just over two weeks and move out in three weeks. Our calendar is looking a little crazy the next few weeks. Jeremy goes to Cincinnati next week, my parents come to visit, Eli has his last day of school, we have to go down to close on the house, then we come back up and have Connor's birthday, movers coming to pack and load and then right after we move out I'm leaving Jeremy and the kids and flying to Utah for a couple days in between our move-out and move-in! We're a little crazy, but I think it will work! We feel so blessed to have found a house at just the right time. A LOT of prayer and a lot of faith has been going on the last couple months in numerous circumstances and we feel so blessed that everything has worked out so perfectly.
Here are a few random pictures from the last month...
And this is what my entry looks like when everyone comes in from the snow:
A couple weeks ago, Connor wanted to play "going to the beach", so we pretended we were laying in the sand and basking in the sunshine. It was awesome.
We went down to Cincinnati two weeks ago (when we found our house) and dropped the boys off at my sister Amy's yet again (she's amazing), but we brought Anna with us. It was so fun! It was nice for me to have a buddy to run around with since Jeremy was working most of the time. I think she enjoyed all the attention. The morning after we got there, we stopped at the grocery store to move our legs a bit before we met up with the realtor and to get some snacks for the next two days. She had fun pushing this little cart around.
It worked perfectly, because she was really tired after walking around the store for an hour and she was an angel driving around looking at houses the rest of the day!
The boys had a great time at Amy's and it was nice to have the freedom to do what we needed to do. We owe them big time!Oh, and on Sunday, Anna turned TWO! She is getting so grown up. I'll do a post about her soon.
That's all for now! Thanks for reading!
