Happy Birthday Jeremy!

Jeremy's birthday was on a Saturday this year, but we kind of celebrated the whole weekend! We had a date Thursday night, then Friday we did cake and presents, and Saturday we did a special breakfast, and Saturday night we went to our neighborhood pool party (which is why we mostly celebrated on Friday).

When we were in negotiations for buying our house, Jeremy requested that the owner leave the projector and big screen in the basement that was all hooked up to the SEVEN speaker surround sound. He agreed and of course Jeremy was thrilled! Well, to hook everything up, we needed a receiver/amplifier thing which we didn't have. So after 5 months of patiently waiting, he finally got one for his birthday! (Major wife points) It is so fun! I didn't think I'd be that into it, but watching a movie on the big screen down there with the booming surround sound is pretty darn awesome. We are spoiled. We only go to the movies about once every two years, but that will probably be even less now! Our date nights usually consist of putting the kids to bed early, getting take-out, and watching a movie, so that has been brought to a whole new level now! :) Party at the Nowlands! Come on over!

 I also made him a really tasty chocolate cake we found on Mel's Kitchen Cafe. It was SO good and super easy (I think it's Chocolate Chip Yogurt Cake or something like that - super fudgy).

We sure love Jeremy. He is an amazing husband and the best dad and I was happy we could celebrate him! Happy 34!!
