Well, after we came back from Lake Tahoe we were very excited to see that our garden had grown quite a bit. We have 3 jalapeno peppers growing, 2 green bell peppers, a few little zucchini and all the other plants have grown a lot. So I thought I would post a few pictures. We're pretty excited since this is our first garden, so even the smallest amount of growth is a really big deal. :)
Here's Jeremy watering the garden. You can see our large zucchini leaves and the peppers in the front row and the tomatoes in the cages on the back row. Our zucchini may end up taking over the whole garden, but we're hoping to train them to grow out onto the grass. We'll see.

Here are 2 of our tomato plants. Our other 3 are roma tomatoes and they're doing really well too. We don't have any tomatoes growing yet, but there are a lot of flowers, so hopefully it won't be long! By the way, I took these pictures on Sunday, and they've grown well over that second ring on the cage just since then!

And here are the green beans:

And here is a close up of our jalapeno peppers. The picture isn't the greatest and the peppers are a little dirty and speckled, but I think by now they are almost ready. Yea!

And here are some of our herbs. They are small so this picture is zoomed in, but they're coming a long. We have cilantro (left) and parsley (right). They look pretty similar, so I'm glad we labeled them!

And here's one final comparison of when we first planted to how it's grown now!

We are so proud of you!! (And I am a little jealous!!!) Almost time for salsa!!! Woo hoo!!!!
Mom
fun! you're so lucky to have a yard to do fun things like that in. your garden looks great!
Congrats on the garden. I am hoping to try one next year now that we have a house too. It is looking good!
watch out for that zucchini, they will totally take over your diet once they start getting ripe. You won't be able to eat them fast enough. Mmm, zucchini bread sounds good right now.
That is a good looking garden! Way to go! I think salsa made fresh from your own garden is the best!! Good luck with that zucchini.
Thanks Sarah for the slide show help! Also, I like your background for your blog! :)
Love you!
