However, I did go to the doctor this morning and he said he really doesn't think I'll make it until Monday (my inducement day) and he's usually on the pessimistic side. I could have kissed him I was so happy! Even if he's wrong, it gives me hope and I was needing some of that. He informed me that the baby is super low (which I already knew) and that I'm super soft, whatever that means. Since I'm overdue, they also hooked me up to an external fetal monitor for about 15 minutes which was fun and it gave a little printout of the baby's heart beat. He said it was so perfect he could cut it out and stick it in a textbook. Yea! So baby is good and I'm trying to just have fun and stay busy. I informed Jeremy that I'm taking him out to lunch today, so that should be fun. Hopefully our next post will have some news! I've got a good feeling it's going to be soon.

Keeping Busy...
Well I'm now 4 days overdue, but I'm trying not to think too much about it. Since my doctor's appointment on Friday, I have been trying to stay more busy and active. I have walked 2 miles everyday (so 4 days now), we've gone out to eat (we keep saying "this could be the last time" to justify ourselves), we've watched movies, I've gone to the store several times, I've been reading, I lounged in the sun yesterday because it was so warm (and got a slight tan, woohoo!), I've done laundry and cleaning (trying to keep everything nice so I'll be ready!) and last night we bought a new kitchen table! We, well I, had been looking online everyday at ksl.com classifieds because I really wanted a new kitchen table. Ours is great but it's quite small and it seems like we're always having people visit and I just thought a bigger table would be nice. I really liked those square ones, but wasn't sure how I felt about the counter height tables, and most of the square ones were counter height. Anyway, it seemed every good deal I found was going fast, so I knew I needed to jump on this one when I found it. It is normal height, has 8 chairs, and it can be a big square or it has a leaf that folds down and it can be a smaller rectangle. And we got it for $200! Woohoo! It has some wear and tear, but we're having kids now, and that's going to happen. I had always liked dark wood, but decided this was great and would hide scratches better than dark wood anyway. So here's our new (used) table!
It seems really sturdy and we really like it. Now we're going to try and sell our smaller one. I've put it up on ksl so we'll see if we get any takers. In the meantime it's in with the piano. :) Anyway, so that's what we've been up to. I was hoping that carrying it into the house with Jeremy last night would send me into labor, but nothing yet.
However, I did go to the doctor this morning and he said he really doesn't think I'll make it until Monday (my inducement day) and he's usually on the pessimistic side. Thank you for the update, I have been wondering how you have been doing. I love your new table by the way. I also like your positive attitude. Keep us posted!
Wow..I really admire your positive attitude! The good thing about going overdue is you know it won't be long now! Good luck with everything. I can't wait for the big post!
The table is cool and you are smart to have fun instead or moping! Eli will make his appearance soon. Can't wait to hear the news.
Love the table! Yeah, once I got to the end of my pregnancy I started lifting stuff all the time (my sister was moving around that time). People would say, "But Lisa, you're pregnant!" To which I'd reply, "What's going to happen, I'll go into labor??? Perfect!" :)
Keep us updated! Thinking of you!
Sarah the anticipation is killing me!!!! I hope you go into labor while I'm typing this. I will send you good vibes. I am so excited for you. I know everything is going to go wonderfully. Good luck!
Sarah you are so positive! I love that happy attitude. You will always have a fun life with that kind of sunshine in your attitude. I love your new table. It looks great! I am so anxious to come and see you and the baby next week. See you soon!
Sarah that table is gorgeous! What a deal! What did Jeremy think about you wanting to kiss your doctor? JK.
Love ya!
I am glad you have such a good attitude. Do all the things that will be difficult with a baby. Going out to dinner is a good idea and get all the shopping done. Can't wait to see you!
Sarah!!! This is killing me, waiting for my little first cousin or however that goes to come out....seriously, the little one just needs to come!!! Love your blog....i got a new one so i could vent about school.... :) jk but glad to see you're doing well!!!
Hi Sarah! Your mom told me to check out your blog. You look amazingly good, like someone just stuffed a pillow under your shirt as a joke. You don't even look pregnant, except for that bump. I also went overdue, and I promise you that you really will have that baby before you know it. Just enjoy a few more nights of relatively good sleep! You are in our prayers...
I love the table Sarah! And I'm excited for the upcoming baby post. :) Good for you for keeping busy. It sure helps doesn't it?!
Thanks for all your encouragement everyone. I'm trying to hang in there!
Love the table - perfect for a growing family.
Sarah,
Alomg with everyone else, I love the table! There is so much room to put place settings AND food! I remember how excited I was when we first got our (used) new table that could actually fit place settings and food. Now it already seems to small sometimes, but yours will work great! Good luck with the last moments of pregnancy. I was thinking maybe you would be the lucky one and not go past your due-date, but it looks like you fit right in the mold of the rest of us! I wish I could be there to take you to lunch one day. Have fun!
Good luck! I hope you are already in labor by the time i write this, we'll be checking for new updates. And really, really enjoy whatever sleep you are getting now because once the baby comes sleep just goes right out the window. They're so much work, but so worth it.
Yay!! I can't wait for you to have this little one! Just FYI, recovery is tough, but it does NOT last forever. Just remember that. :) You are going to do great!!! Good luck Mommy!
p.s. I envy your new table! Love it!
