- My kitchen. I have a bajillion times more counterspace, cupboards, and drawers here than in Pittsburgh. It will be an adjustment again going back. I have LOVED the space.
- SPACE! Speaking of...our house here is twice the square footage as Pittsburgh. That will be missed. The boys love running the length of the house over and over and I love sitting on the couch watching them do it. Hehe.
- Flat, walkable neighborhood. If you've been to Pittsburgh, you know that it is very hilly and very old. All the sidewalks are broken and nearly impossible to push a stroller on even if you did have giant muscles to push up the hills. I've loved being able to walk in our beautiful tree-filled neighborhood.
- Central AC. I don't want to talk about.
- People. Everyone is so friendly and nice. We have made some friends and we love our neighbors and we'll be sad to leave them! (But very happy to see our friends in Pittsburgh again!!)
- Pink bathtub. It's kind of grown on me. Ok, so not really at all, I just had to throw that in there. ;)
- Proximity to everything. One thing nice about a small town vs. a bigger city is everything is only a few minutes away!
- Jeremy. I should just say good-bye to him here, because once we get back I don't think I'll be seeing too much of him until Christmas. It's been so nice for me and the boys to have him around!
That's all I can think of right now, but it's been a good summer. Of course there are a few things I won't miss (ahem, cockroaches), but it really has been a pleasant experience. Less than 2 weeks left! I suppose I should think about packing...

Number 8 made me cry. I know what you mean!
This made me laugh! Except #8... I know that feeling! Although their schedules are totally different and you have two kids already... so I feel for you!
Can I call it 'Bama too? I like the sound of it- or is it a privilege only given to those who've lived there?
What a neat experience to live in different states (or at least "out of state", in my case)! I'm hoping someday that we'll have an experience like that.
Ditto ditto ditto. I wish we were next door neighbors. We need to live closer Sarah! You'd think our husband's degrees are similar enough! ;)
Sarah you are the most interesting daughter. I love your creativity in your blogs. You should be a professional blogger. I loved your whole description and I am sad for you to miss Jeremy. We all love Jeremy and know why he is so fun to have around. This next year will go by very fast and then you will be off on another adventure. You will be blessed for all the good you do.
Woohoo! I got a shout-out!! :) I'm sorry you'll miss Alabama, but glad you're going back to Pennsylvania because even though we love you a lot, we wouldn't make the trip to Alabama for Thanksgiving. :)
Keep shooting hoops, sis! Hehe...
Pink bath tub, huh.. I can only imagine. :)
And no central AC- oh dear, what would life be without it?! Oh wait, I know! Since I just spent three weeks in Finland without it, and it was SO hot and no air conditioning ANYWHERE! You don't want to know the amount of sweating......
Your blog is cute and always fun to read. Keep up the good work! You're missed!
Your posts are very fun to read. We will miss having you in the same geographic region, but hey, at least we'll be on the same time zone again! Oh, and the boys are adorable. Connor looks so grown up in the picture with the crayons! You guys are great!
