Cincinnati Nature

We had a few cooler weeks the end of June and beginning of July, which meant we were able to do a few more outdoor things. This last week we really felt the full summer heat/humidity that Cincinnati has to offer and therefore have done nothing outside but go in the pool. I'm looking forward to the fall when we can do some more hiking and exploring again.

By our community garden, there are a bunch of trails that go by the river, and we've explored these a few times (not lately). There's something so invigorating about hiking in the woods. I didn't realize how much I loved it until we lived in Oregon. I'm glad we've found a few spots to enjoy nature when the humidity isn't too unbearable.

When we went with Jeremy it was really misty right over the river.

Anna takes it upon herself to return every rock to the river.

Also a few weeks ago we checked out the Cincinnati Nature Center. It was awesome! I'm really looking forward to spending more time there. We got a year membership, so we'll have to use it a lot. There are a lots of trails to hike, several ponds to see turtles and frogs and fish, and a kids Nature Playscape area with a creek and other things to explore. It was great!
 Can you spot the frogs?
