So, I don't know why, but I've been really looking forward to Fall and the holiday season lately. I'm ready for Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas baking! But, more than just the food aspect, I'm just really excited for the holidays. It's such a happy time of year and the weather makes you want to be more cozy and cuddly and it's just fun.
Since I've been so excited I've already planned a lot of our Christmas program for our ward choir. Today we sang in church for the first time since I was called and they did really well. We're constantly growing and I think we're up to about 17-18 people. Which I know doesn't sound like a ton but we started with about 9 so we're getting there. And almost everyone is good, so that makes a big difference. Anyway, I need to consult with my mom and sisters (and anyone else who has ideas) about Christmas music/programs. The bishopbric pretty much told me to do whatever I want so I think I'll do mostly music with some speaking parts here and there. If anyone has any great ideas, send them my way! :)
Not too much has changed since my last entry, but I've been thinking a lot about choir and holidays, so I thought I would blog about that. Jeremy is having an Elder's Quorum Presidency meeting right now and he's excited to finally be working. Less than half of his quorum is active (probably less than a third) so he's got a lot to do. Anyway, that's what's going on with us. Thanks for reading. We love you all!

I just wanted to let you know that I like reading about what you guys are doing and seeing you pictures, etc.
I am excited about fall too. I want to start making soups and breads. Good luck on your Christmas program. We miss you guys, can't wait to see you.
Wow...they really put you both to work in your new ward! You will be such a strength to a ward with so few active members.
I know how you feel about the fall holiday season. I was just wishing yesterday that I could start listening to Christmas music! I LOVE fall and all of the wonderful things it brings.
I didn't know you got called to be choir director! Fun! I am jealous. Cute background on your blog!
Yeah, Another fellow choir director. My Mom, Marie, and I are all the choir directors. My Mom and I are both doing the program that Marie did last year. You should see if you could get a copy. I think it is pretty good. Good Luck!
I'm gearing up for the holidays too! As far as your program, one year in Relief Society they read scriptures touching on major aspects of the Savior's life from both the Bible and Book of Mormon with an arrangement of The First Noel in the background. The last scripture was the "He Lives" testimony in section 76 of the Doctrine and Covenants. I really liked it so I thought I'd pass it along. Good luck!
