It seems like our little guy changes so much from day to day, so I thought I would put up a few more pictures. We took him to the doctor yesterday for a follow-up test on his bilirubin level and he was fine! The pediatrician said he was the perfect baby. He's already gained weight! He's 9 lbs. 5.7 oz. now and he's eating and pooping like a champ. :) The doctor said he was very alert for a 4-day-old baby and that he has great muscle tone. We think he's pretty amazing too. He slept from 10pm - 3:15am last night, then ate and went back to sleep until 6:45, which made his parents very happy. He just seems to be thriving. He's so easy-going and hardly ever cries. He's not too fond of getting his diaper changed, but even then it's just a little whimper most of the time. Anyway, so we feel very blessed. He's such a handsome little guy and it's fun to see him changing from day to day. And we can see and feel him getting chubbier too. He has a little double chin now! I'm glad to know I, like my sisters and mom, have that Astle cream instead of milk. It makes for fast growing babies!
Tummy time with dad:

Loungin' on the couch. I love his olive skin tone and dark hair.

More snuggles with daddy:

And these are from today:
"Mmm, I love my mommy's milk. It puts me right to sleep."

Hangin' out.

Big yawn!

Are you lookin' at me?

Happy boy.

I think that this is the first time I have been the first to comment on one of your posts. We are so happy for all of you, Eli does look like a great kid and we look foreword to seeing him soon. We love you and congradulation. If you don't mind me saying, Eli looks like a Nowland in my opinion.
Love Jared
What a cutie-pie!! I can't wait to hold him!
Great pictures and captions. I loved the "are you lookin at me" one! It sounds like things are off to a great start. I am glad that everything and everyone is doing so well.
He really is adorable - congratulations to all three of you! I am sure that Rachel is really excited to get to hold him when she comes out in July - I hope he and McKay will be great friends some day!
Well I guess the handsomeness of your baby proves that most of the good looks come from Amy's side of the family with my kids.

Sarah and Jeremy -- This is Julianne Weaver, Amy's sister-in-law. I hope you don't mind me looking at your blog, but I knew you were due any day and I just have to say:
Your baby boy is SO cute.
Can I just tell you that I actually got tears in my eyes while looking at him? Seriously, he is such a beautiful baby.
And 5 hours of sleep just 3 nights in! WOOHOO!!
Congratulations (and Ryan says so, too). Have fun with him (like I need to tell you that) and good luck with these first few weeks.
Oh - and we LOVE the name! LOVE IT!
What a cutie! He has such dark hair--I guess I wasn't expecting that :)
What a beautiful baby boy you have! I love the miracle of Heavenly Father's Plan for each of us. What a blessing these precious little ones straight from His arms to ours are! (okay...the 9 month waiting time is in there too, but...) Congratulations to your sweet little family!!!! ENJOY!
