California: Part Two

Monday and Tuesday were mostly spent in the pool!

 Or near the pool, eating apricots...

 And being adorable.

I unfortunately don't have any pictures Wednesday morning of hiking down to the lake, but we did it! There's a trail behind my parents' house that goes down to the lake and my kids always enjoy going there and throwing rocks and finding shells.

Then on Wednesday afternoon, we drove down to Modesto. My mom's sister lives there along with her four daughters. We went to my cousin Heidi's house (yes, I also have a cousin named Heidi) and had a wonderful time! She has a spectacular house/yard/setting and my Uncle Jim's BBQ can't be beat.

 The kids had a blast running around. Heidi had all sorts of fun things for the kids to do.

 It was unusually chilly and windy that night, but the firepit helped. It was a fun night!
