Fall Color Walk

First off, to my sister Wendy - don't read this or look at these pictures if you're hating Florida right now, because these won't help!  I'm sorry. :( (She moved from NJ over the summer and is sad to not have Fall, or seasons other than summer...).

ANYWAY, it is officially Fall around here and it's beautiful!  The weather is definitely chilly, but the leaves are gorgeous, especially on those rare sunny days (if only Pittsburgh had more sunshine!!).  Jeremy finished his finals yesterday and so today we went on a nature walk.  We went to my favorite park, just a few minutes from our house, and walked one of the trails and collected leaves and acorns.  We had fun trying to find all the colors and stopping to take lots of pictures.  We feel so grateful to live in such a beautiful place!  Even though we're in the city - which can be quite ugly sometimes - we have this gorgeous park in the midst of it all and it feels like an escape.

Sorry there are so many.  Just imagine if I had a really nice camera, I would've taken hundreds!  Oh dear...

(The red gift bag was for our collection)

 Back at the playground...

 Our collection. :)
Happy Fall everyone!

Oh that is so beautiful! It reminds me of when I came last year and we walked in that park and took that really fun trail down and we lost your keys..:). No I am serious it brings back happy memories. It looks so lovely and I am so happy that you are taking advantage of the beauties of the earth the Lord has created for us all. It is fun to be out in nature. I had fun taking Daisy for a walk out in our new neighborhood with lots of hills. Daisy was loving the new smells and places to explore. Thank you once again for a delightful blog post! Everyone looks so great!

I love the leaf collection. And that huge leaf! So fun. I'm happy to have 4 seasons here- I never had that growing up! I'd like to experience a PA fall some day!

Well, I am GLAD you put up those pictures, because I am missing the beautiful fall leaves like crazy! I LOVED looking at them, even if it wasn't in person. Everything looks exactly the same here as it did last month, and the month before that, and the month before that . . . :) It is pretty, but there is no variety. And I really think those fall leaves win the beauty prize any day! I got off the phone with Michael a little while ago . . . he took the train from Boston to Philadelphia today, and said the fall leaves were so gorgeous. He was also afraid to tell me, but decided to share it. :) I love the big leaf, too. We used to see ones like that as we walked in our neighborhood. Wow, I really miss that. Anyway, hope you're having fun!
